And if a ten-ton truck...

leaf-to-tree

All this week, Pa has been in my garden giving my apple tree a short-back-and-sides with bow and chain saw.

Thank you Pa.

I'm sometimes delighted by the music you link to. (actually, I'd never heard of that Morrissey guy until I came here, now he's one of my favorites) This person however is not that good of a singer but i like that the fact the vitality of the image stay's consistent throughout the different background scenarios. I'm guessing it illustrates the resilient nature of the human spirit.

  2. I get such a friendly and familar Woodstock (ala Snoopy's dog house)vibe from that little yellow leaf.

  3. You're right, Rita. She's a somewhat irritating wailer ain't she? It's the Smiths-on-a-uke factor that amuses me.

After about two minutes of listening to her nails-against-blackboard voice, however, the original seems even more glorious than it was before.

  4. Well, you can't beat an original.

I just linked to the /inspiration part of your post.
Obviously, there is more to life then "The big plan" mainly because the "big plan" is always only relevant to a particular time & space. Being Jewish I guess you would understand that concept.

  5. I never left you. I'm merely a leaf fluttering down the large Prozac tree, and i believe it's spring soon.

  7. When I first moved to OKC, Daddy and I split the cost of a chainsaw, which he then didn't want me to use.....until he broke the chainsaw doing what he feared I would do (bind the chain up).

We are getting better now-we share a gas powered weed whacker. I bought it, but I leave it at his house so he doesn't have come borrow it when he wants to use it-I just go down and get it when I want it.

Ah-these are the memories we cherish. (No, really, they are).
