Everything's gonna be cool this Christmas?

A piece commissioned for the 'Christmas Day Edition' of Forward.

I poured my heart out. I poured my heart out. It evaporated. See.

christmas-break
[Soundtrack - my kind of Christmas choral music]

This one's on pretty much constant rotation too at the moment, and equally apt for the above piece.

What you give, or give out, is the only thing that really counts

what-you-give

It'll probably come as no surprise to you that I'm quite a fan of Joel Waldfogel.

You're a slave to yourself and you don't even know

revisionist-advent-7

An interesting article about being jew-ish and some more info about the S.H.I.T list which Prozac seems so keen to get on.

When you sleep, I will creep, into your thoughts like a bad debt that you can't pay. Take the easy way and give in.

Am really chuffed to have been given the opportunity to contribute a cartoon and also do the front cover for next month's One in Four magazine which is out on December 7th.

You can pick up a copy in libraries, GP surgeries, primary care trust facilities, universities, and Mind charity shops.

Or even better, SUBSCRIBE, and with a bit of luck The Big B might invite me back again.

It's cool to love your family

my-favourite-uncisms-two

My favourite uncle has been visiting recently. I'm sure he represents a recognisable strand in the taxonomy of Unc-dom, but for me he is truly one of a kind.

Can't you see I'm a fool in so many ways?

I have yet to actually watch an episode of X Factor from start to finish. That said, even I can spot two off-key twonks a mile off. And this time, even Hitler agrees with me.

[Birthday card for Juliet. Happy birthday Jules.]

And I have got nothing to offer you, no-no-no-no-no. Just this heart deep and true (which you say you don't need)

prozacville-at-comiket

Last Sunday I was at the overwhelmingly good and varied Comiket, part of the Comica Festival at the ICA.

Gareth Can-I-Borrow-Your-Toilet Brookes organised a cartoon wall as part of the event: a multi-paneled wall à la Raphael on which Comiketicipants were asked to riff off a randomly assigned line from Watchmen, in charcoal. (Although some people cheated by smuggling in their own art materials and colours, the cads!)

How to fight loneliness? Smile all the time

maybe-i-just-need-an-iphone

One thing I now have in common with Chris Ware: both of us doing product placements for this man.

[A commissioned piece for Litro magazine.]

Vulnerable around me

art-and-life

To be precise: I'm reading (for the second time) Gavin Hopps's magisterial study of Morrissey, The Pageant of His Bleeding Heart, whilst declaring my dependence.

Prozacgate

Gordon Brown: Prozac-gate

When Gordon Brown does finally reveal the the fact that, like the rest of the nation, he's on anti-depressants, we hope he'll do so on Prozacville.

Hungamunga

hungamunga

Had a table flogging Prozac at last weekend's Hungamunga festival.

After handing out my Heaven-Knows-I'm-Miserable-Now questionnaire, I then asked the Hungamungees to draw me some pretty pictures.

Some of them actually did (click on the thumbnails below to enlarge).

I love you more

i-love-you-more

Thanks to everyone who voted for my Michael Jackson FUN? monument over at Bustler/Archinect. If you'd never heard of the competition, that's because you didn't see the international coverage of it in...um, Turkey.

Things got a little bit sticky on the Comment's Board at one point, when it looked like I might actually carry away the much coveted glow-in-the-dark T-shirt, but in the end it was won by this young lady.

Quant à moi, ca ne va plus très bien

prozac,-suicide

A piece I did for the WHO's World Suicide Prevention Day.

A pity they couldn't prevent this kid from taking his life recently.

He got monkey finger, he shoot coca-cola

six-uses-for-your-index-fin

Yes, I will resort to begging for votes if it's going to win me a glow-in-the-dark Michael Jackson T-shirt.

I am now on the People's Choice short-list for my MJ Monument over at Bustler/Archinect. You can vote here, no sign-up required this time.

Give me the finger, please.

Overstanding is the key

redheads-colour

For those of you who can't be arsed (or don't have the flexibility of spine) to crane your neck 180º to read the upside-downness of this, you can check things out from Prozac's perspective by clicking here.

This is a very sensitive subject

just-the-two-of-us

Just finished reading Rosie Alexander's Folie a Deux. Brilliant.
