The rain falls hard on a humdrum town

"
In the north Indian region of Kumaon, the traditional remedy for stopping rain is to pour hot oil in the left ear of a dog. The animal’s howls are heard by Indra, God of weather, who stops the rain out of pity for the animal’s suffering. Simple, really."

And it does keep raining here. all the time.

but somehow I'm not convinced torturing dogs is going to stop it - especially as a bunch of pagans are doing a rain dance at Cere Abbott - the one place in the entire country where it isn't bloody raining.

We should pour hot oil into the pagans/hippys ears.

Now why does this anti-New-Age-ism not surprise me coming from Baggel?

That is truly a horrible thing. Although my my neighbour above me keeps letting his cat roam inside my back courtyard... and it has been raining...
