You said I was ill, and you were not wrong

Some people still like to think that human beings possess a coherent and continuous sense of self. Suicide-bomber doctors kind of fuck up that premise, don't they?

Um, links that have relevant bearing on a post should probably be read in order for the relevant bearing they have to be relevant, bearing-wise, Switch.

Ok, this is really cute!

Looking at it again, I want to take all my pills and make little doll houses for them, with little beds and curtains.

You're adorable! With your tiny glasses!

Changing dressings is the nurses' job. As any doc worth their salt would know.

The deep booming voice, dear Switch, is that of Pablo Neruda, reading his 'Veinte poemas de amor y una canción desesperada'. At the beginning of my song, Pablo says " Quién eres tú, quién eres?" (Who are you, who are you?) and then at the end: " Es tan corto el amor, y es tan largo el olvido.
Porque en noches como esta la tuve entre mis brazos,
mi alma no se contenta con haberla perdido.
Aunque éste sea el último dolor que ella me causa,
y éstos sean los últimos versos que yo le escribo."

Which I ain't even gonna try and translate. Pati?

Awww, that's so sweet! :-)

And seriously, I can't tell you about what deals I've secretly made so that I can be first on IF, now can I? I'm out of town this week so I probably won't be first this time.

Now take your medicine.

Megillah, why do you get so much pleasure on SETTING ME RIGHT on doctors v. nurses.

Damn, girl. It's meant to be metaphorical, innit.
