Frankly, Mr. Shankly, this position I've held, it pays my way and it corrodes my soul

Maybe you are not really lost at all, maybe you are exactly where you are supposed to be, only you just don't know it yet.

I need to think about this one some more.

None of us are either lost or found. And that is exactly the problem of it all. Oh to be truly lost and/or found!

There used to be a Lost and Found at Baker St.

Halfway down the stairs
Is a stair where I sit:
There isn't any other stair quite like it.
I'm not at the bottom,
I'm not at the top:
So this is the stair where I always stop.

Halfway up the stairs
Isn't up, and isn't down.
It isn't in the nursery, it isn't in the town:
And all sorts of funny thoughts
Run round my head:
"It isn't really anywhere! It's somewhere else instead!"

I had the experience of being truly lost not too long ago on a road trip. As in didn't know what town I was near, what direction I was headed, or even any idea (other than the notion I was in Texas) where I'd be on a map. It was scarey and exciting all at once. All the reference points were not there, if they found my body, no one would know why I was in that particular spot. But, I was only lost as long as it amused me, once I decided to be found I stopped at a gas station and figured out what to do next.

And that is pretty much how it works for all of us, so you can never really be truly lost unless you are committed to being lost. Since you can't seem to commit to being lost, why not go find yourself? (or you could just tell me to fuck off with my optimistic mystical drivel).

or exactly where you choose to be!

Me? I'm lost at all times. But also where I want to be. It would be so boring otherwise.

You OK? You seem kinda lost lately. (not a pun)
